MyWorks runs the only other free tier here, and it is free on the condition that you sell on Shopify or WooCommerce. Sell on Etsy, Faire or Walmart and there is nothing to install at any price. The file-based tools — SaasAnt, Transaction Pro, Zed Axis — will take a file from anywhere, and all three want money inside thirty days.
Generic Importers Do Not Know What an Order Is
SaasAnt, Transaction Pro and Zed Axis are spreadsheet loaders. Point one at a file and it creates whatever you tell it the rows mean: invoices, bills, journal entries, checks. That flexibility is the product.
It is also the work. An order is a customer, a set of line items, a discount, shipping, tax and a payment, arriving as one document with the right number on it so nothing posts twice. A generic importer will do that if you build the file exactly right, every month, forever. Get a column wrong and it posts anyway.
Your File, Not a Template
Six columns are required: order number, order date, currency, item name, quantity, unit price. One row per line item — three products on an order is three rows sharing an order number, posting as three lines on one receipt.
You do not rename anything. Total, Grand Total, Amount and totalPrice all resolve to the same field, as do qty, zip, postcode, fulfilledat and datepaid. Upload the Etsy or Amazon or Square export exactly as it came out; the mapping screen arrives pre-filled and remembers what you told it.
Optional columns make the receipt better: customer name and email, billing and shipping addresses, SKU, discount, shipping, tax and tax code, a memo the customer sees, a private note only you see, and whether each order posts as a sales receipt or an invoice.
Import Twice, Post Once
Every document number is checked against QuickBooks before anything posts. Already there, and that order is skipped. Re-run last month's file, or two exports that overlap on the 1st, and nothing double-counts.
Getting Set Up
Sign up, connect QuickBooks, tell it which accounts your sales, shipping, discounts and tax belong in, then import and post.

When You Will Want More
Two hundred orders is eight imports. That is the trade: free, in exchange for a few minutes of exporting.
Connecting your store directly is what removes the exporting, and that is the paid side of the product. Orders arrive on their own. Payouts and processor fees reconcile against your bank feed. Nothing waits on you remembering to do it. Same account, same settings, nothing to migrate.
